Back in Business

Dear me.. Looks like i've been missing in action for quite a while now. My last entry was in november 2008. Nearly 4 months! But it was a good long break from blogging though. It would be hell to write everything that has happened in the last 4 , so i'll just SCRIBBLE what has happened in the last month. Firstly, School's out. Am on a 2 and a half month long holiday, which is kinda long. But then again, we humans are never satisfied with what we have. If we have a long holiday, we complain that its too long; and if its short, we complain that its too short! Human nature i guess. Anyways, had a class BBQ with W14H on the 11th of Feb, Met up with Idah at her place and helped her transport the food to our BBQ pit. Afiq and i started the fire around 5pm, but it got washed down by the rain. How nice. My area had not been experiencing rain for weeks, and on the day i didnt want rain, it did. Nevertheless, we took it as practice and after the rain subsided and we managed to try the pit, we started the fires again, with Sandy doing the other fire this time. Chicken wings, sausages, crab sticks, otak-otak, fishballs and nuggets (yes, nuggets, Courtesy of kitty) were all on the fire and i was busy cooking the food. I kinda lose my appetite to eat when i BBQ. Guess its the smoke that causes it. But i ate a little bit here and there anyway. After all the food was cooked, we sat down to play games and around 11.45pm, i took my leave. Was Way too tired to stay back(sorry guys).

On Monday(16th Feb), i met up with Andre and Steph at Toa Payoh, for Dim sum at a Chinese resturant. I left the ordering to Steph and Andre. So tray after tray of dim sums came and after the 5th tray (or what ever you call the bamboo steamer thing), i waved the white flag. Was too full. But because poor Andre was let to finish about 2 trays, i decided to stuff myself with a little bit more. The bill came up to around $90, including 10% Service tax and 7% GST. We divided the cost equally and then made our way to the library to cool down, after which we parted, with me taking the train and Andre and Steph taking the bus. A short lunch it was.

On Thursday, I met up with Andre, Kenneth and Amanda to catch Pink Panther 2 at AMK hub and thereafter to dinner at NY NY. Since it will be Andre's birthday on Monday, i decided to celebrate it early. I got Amanda to keep Andre company while kenneth and I rushed to get the cake. (we told Andre that kenneth needed to withdraw cash). On the way out of NY NY, to get the cake, one of the waiters, Andre's friend, informed me that it would be good to get Andre the membership since his birthday was coming up and the discount and vouchers were worth it. So i decided to get him one and told the waiter to get the form ready and then dashed off to get the cake. By the time we got back, the food was on our table and we started eating. I then secretly passed the waiter the cake and asked him to help us get the cake ready (Put the candles in and everything). But it looks like the manager was the one who did it and i think she screwed up by only putting 16 candles. Hello! I asked the cake shop for 18 candles for a reason. Not for you to keep 2 candles to yourself and have a romantic dinner with your husband/BF after opening hours! Anyways, We cut the cake and had a slice each and packed the cake for Andre to bring home. Along with the membership card, came a bottle of red wine. After settling the bill, we made a move and parted for the day. (Pictures taken have been attached. Sorry for the poor quality. The lighting sucked)

Alrighty then, i think i might have written quite a lot for now. I'll end here. Am watching Lord of the Rings, The fellowship of the ring and its getting to the interesting bit. Cant multi-task. So till my next post/entry!
