Let me quickly scribble what happened on wednesday. I met up with andre at Cathay Cineplex and waited at Long Johns Silvers for kenneth who did not know how to get there. Andre "helped" him out by telling him to ask some good looking girls for directions. Typical andre. Anyway, after getting our tickets, we walked around aimlessly for about 10-15 minutes before we went out of the building and went into Gloria Jean's Coffees where andre and i had a drink each. At first, when i saw the board, the price of my Original iced chocolate was about 5.70. But at the cashier, the lady only billed me at 3 bucks! I thought the lady had some memory loss or something and typed in the wrong price. It was only when i was collecting my drink with andre that he told me that he got it at a discounted price and it was probably cause we're students. Cool! So after finishing up our drinks, (andre kept adding water to his mango drink cause it was too sweet.), we went up to get popcorn and jumbo hot dog and drinks and then walked into the theatre.
The movie was nothing fantastic. The only thing that andre loved in it was his 'GF' who's name i cant recall at the present moment (Mental note: ask andre) We walked around orchard road for a good half an hour, trying to empty our stomachs so we could have dinner. We finally settled for Fish & Co. Andre had some trouble trying to understand the waitress who was talking our order. that was hilarious man! i was laughing quietly as i saw andre straining himself to catch what she was trying to say. Haha. So after having dinner and everything, Andre took the bus back and kenneth and i took the train back to AMK. alright, i'll end this post here, gotta go out for lunch in 10 minutes time.
Cheers!

IT Shopping
Who knew going to the IT show 2 days in a row could be so tiring? (I definitely didn’t). Yesterday, I met up with Qais at RP and gave him a little ‘tour’ of the campus and Then had lunch at causeway point before taking the train to City hall and then made our way to suntec city convention hall where the IT Show was being held. We skipped the 2nd and 3rd floor and went straight to the 4th. The plan was to collect pamphlets and flyers so that we could bring them back home and take a look at them before buying anything. Having collected more than enough flyers and pamphlets to bind them and make a book, we decided to go catch a movie. Dragon ball evolution it was, 8 bucks per ticket was kind of a rip off, especially since we could get walk over to a GV theatre nearby and buy them tickets at 6 bucks a piece with more comfortable seats. Anyways, The movie finished around 4.50 and we went straight to the MRT station and took the train back home. We were too tired to do anymore walking.
Jumping straight into today, i went for a second round of IT shopping at the IT show again, this time, with my dad. We were contemplating which anti-virus program to buy. There were 3 types shortlisted in our minds. Norton, MacAfee and AVG. But we didn’t get either of them just yet. My dad says he will ask some of his friends for suggestions on which to get and then buy it.
Anyways, gotta end this entry here for today seeing as i have some stuff to do before turning in for the day. (unlike Qais who can afford to sleep for 19 hours in a row and have the cheek to message me and say that he feels like going back to sleep again. Haha)

At Pennsylvania Avenue
One sunny day late in January 2009, an old man approached the White House from Across Pennsylvania Avenue, where he'd been sitting on a park bench. He spoke to the U.S. Marine standing guard and said, 'I would like to go in and meet with President Bush.' The Marine looked at the man and said, 'Sir, Mr. Bush is no longer president and no longer resides here.'The old man said, 'Okay' and walked away. The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, 'I would like to go in and meet with President Bush.' The
Marine again told the man, 'Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Bush is no longer president and no longer resides here.'The man thanked him and, again, just walked away. The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same U.S. Marine, saying 'I would like to go in and meet with President Bush.'The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, 'Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Bush. I've told you already that Mr. Bush is no longer the president and no longer resides here. Don't you understand?'The old man looked at the Marine and said, 'Oh, I understand. I just love hearing it.'
The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, 'See you tomorrow, Sir.'

Early one morning, a mother went into her sleeping son’s room and woke him up.
Mom: “wake up son! It’s time for school.
Son: “But Why mama? I don’t want to go to school!”
Mom: “Give me two reasons why you don’t want to go to school!”
Son: “One, All the children hate me. Two, All the teachers hate me!”
Mom: “Oh! That’s not a reason. Come on!, you have to go to school!”
Son: “Give me two good reasons why I SHOULD go to school!”
Mom: “One, because you are FIFTY-TWO years old and should understand your responsibilities. Two, YOUR’E THE PRINCIPAL of the school!

Back in Business
Dear me.. Looks like i've been missing in action for quite a while now. My last entry was in november 2008. Nearly 4 months! But it was a good long break from blogging though. It would be hell to write everything that has happened in the last 4 , so i'll just SCRIBBLE what has happened in the last month. Firstly, School's out. Am on a 2 and a half month long holiday, which is kinda long. But then again, we humans are never satisfied with what we have. If we have a long holiday, we complain that its too long; and if its short, we complain that its too short! Human nature i guess. Anyways, had a class BBQ with W14H on the 11th of Feb, Met up with Idah at her place and helped her transport the food to our BBQ pit. Afiq and i started the fire around 5pm, but it got washed down by the rain. How nice. My area had not been experiencing rain for weeks, and on the day i didnt want rain, it did. Nevertheless, we took it as practice and after the rain subsided and we managed to try the pit, we started the fires again, with Sandy doing the other fire this time. Chicken wings, sausages, crab sticks, otak-otak, fishballs and nuggets (yes, nuggets, Courtesy of kitty) were all on the fire and i was busy cooking the food. I kinda lose my appetite to eat when i BBQ. Guess its the smoke that causes it. But i ate a little bit here and there anyway. After all the food was cooked, we sat down to play games and around 11.45pm, i took my leave. Was Way too tired to stay back(sorry guys).
On Monday(16th Feb), i met up with Andre and Steph at Toa Payoh, for Dim sum at a Chinese resturant. I left the ordering to Steph and Andre. So tray after tray of dim sums came and after the 5th tray (or what ever you call the bamboo steamer thing), i waved the white flag. Was too full. But because poor Andre was let to finish about 2 trays, i decided to stuff myself with a little bit more. The bill came up to around $90, including 10% Service tax and 7% GST. We divided the cost equally and then made our way to the library to cool down, after which we parted, with me taking the train and Andre and Steph taking the bus. A short lunch it was.
On Thursday, I met up with Andre, Kenneth and Amanda to catch Pink Panther 2 at AMK hub and thereafter to dinner at NY NY. Since it will be Andre's birthday on Monday, i decided to celebrate it early. I got Amanda to keep Andre company while kenneth and I rushed to get the cake. (we told Andre that kenneth needed to withdraw cash). On the way out of NY NY, to get the cake, one of the waiters, Andre's friend, informed me that it would be good to get Andre the membership since his birthday was coming up and the discount and vouchers were worth it. So i decided to get him one and told the waiter to get the form ready and then dashed off to get the cake. By the time we got back, the food was on our table and we started eating. I then secretly passed the waiter the cake and asked him to help us get the cake ready (Put the candles in and everything). But it looks like the manager was the one who did it and i think she screwed up by only putting 16 candles. Hello! I asked the cake shop for 18 candles for a reason. Not for you to keep 2 candles to yourself and have a romantic dinner with your husband/BF after opening hours! Anyways, We cut the cake and had a slice each and packed the cake for Andre to bring home. Along with the membership card, came a bottle of red wine. After settling the bill, we made a move and parted for the day. (Pictures taken have been attached. Sorry for the poor quality. The lighting sucked)
Alrighty then, i think i might have written quite a lot for now. I'll end here. Am watching Lord of the Rings, The fellowship of the ring and its getting to the interesting bit. Cant multi-task. So till my next post/entry!

Change we need
This was the motto that Obama, Or should i say Elected President Obama used for his campaigning and looks like it worked! He now waits for his term in office to begin in January next year. He has made history by becoming the first african-american president.
After Obama was declared the winner by John McCain, he gave a speech which i found graceful and very sincere. Despite loosing, he acknowledged that him not becoming president was not the case. It was whether America gets a good president and that he is just a servent of America and that all he wants is America's Happiness. He also acknowledged Obama as MY PRESIDENT and then moved on to thank those people who helped him. When it came to the part where he started thanking Sarah Peilin, i started to laugh my head off (not literally). Thank her, for crumbling his chances of becoming president more like! The popularity she got was mainly negative publicity. For those of you, who like me have been reading the news papers for the weeks leading to the election day, you would have seen how many negative comments the press had about her. The best of all would be that she used campaign money for her clothings. Very smart move if you want your campaign raitings to go down. McCain and G. W. Bush were already pulling down the ratings down for the Republicans and Sarah P just made it worse. If McCain had managed to convince Colin Powell to run as his Vice president, He would have stood a much better chance of winning. But everyone makes their fair share of mistakes. McCain admits that as well.
Obama on the other hand, could have ensured his victory by a landslide by sticking with Hilary Clinton as his vice president. She managed to claim many states. But her help in campaigning might have payed off and helped with his votes.
Now, after being promissed lots of things from Elected President, Barak Obama, We will have to wait and see what becomes of America and the world with the changes that he makes.
*Barak Obama will be taking office on 20th January 2009
